Batman song?

Batman song.

If you’re a fan of say The National or Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., you’ll love Big Harp. They’re all about fuzzy guitar, some back of the church ghost whispering and swaying vocals. If you’ve been following how alternative country/rock has evolved over the past couple years, I think you’ll immediately feel at home with this song. The rest of their stuff branches out into more country territory (beware, beware!) but keeps this dirty, bar hopping, traveling feeling that is so hauntingly Western.

I usually don’t care about a band’s personal story, but this one is actually kind of sweet. They met, fell in love, had some kids and made some music. What’s not to love about that? If you want to know more about the band or listen to their other stuffs, click here!

  1. I am disappointed by the lack of harp.

  2. arron

    I like the tiny piano.

  3. For me, it’s definitely the chubbed bass-guitar that takes the cake in this song. An absolutely wonderful resonance and cut-off. Ofc, the rest of the elements being well-done helps a lot, too. So, um, yeah. This was a cool song. I’d really love to hear a more classic-rock-like version, with the vocalist properly going wild during the chorus, without holding back whilst singing “you can’t save them all”.
